The main raw material of white corundum abrasive is high-quality aluminum oxide powder, which is melted in a high-temperature arc above 2000 degrees Celsius and then cooled. After being damaged and formed, the product undergoes magnetic separation to remove iron and screen out various particle sizes, with a dense texture and high hardness, forming sharp corners. White corundum products are suitable for manufacturing ceramics, resin bonded abrasives, grinding, polishing, sandblasting, precision casting (special corundum for precision casting), etc.

 

Application of white corundum:

They can also be used to manufacture high-end refractory materials, codenamed "WA". World and national standards are consistent, with most being exported and a certain amount being provided to domestic users. The particle size of white corundum abrasive is produced according to world and national standards, and can be processed according to the particle size required by users.

The general particle size range is F4~F220, and the chemical composition of the product varies depending on the particle size. The outstanding feature of this product is its small crystal size and impact resistance. If damaged by using a self grinding machine, the particles are mostly spherical and have a monotonous and clean appearance, which is easy to bind with the adhesive.

Density of white corundum:

There are two types of product density, one is the bulk density of white alumina, and the other is the true density of white alumina.

The stacking density is 1.53-1.99g/cm3, and the stacking density of abrasives is related to factors such as particle size, particle composition, type, and particle shape. Generally speaking, the stacking density of coarse abrasive particles is greater than that of fine abrasive particles, while the stacking density of mixed abrasive particles is greater than that of single abrasive particles.

White alumina has high hardness and good durability, and is mostly used for grinding materials. It is one of the most basic abrasive products. Molten white corundum products are the primary material for producing high-end unshaped refractory materials.

The commonly used particle size for white alumina products is F4-F220, and the chemical composition of the product varies with the particle size. The outstanding feature of this product is its small crystal size and impact resistance. If it is self grinding and crushing, the particles are mostly spherical, and the surface of the product is monotonous and clean, which is easy to combine with the adhesive.
